An Exciting New Chapter that Brings Two Decades of Healthcare Marketing and Communications Experience to Inspire Agency

Healthcare Communications expert Drew Deeter joins Inspire Agency

I’ve spent more than 20 years at the intersection of healthcare, communications, and trust. I’ve worked with pharmaceutical companies navigating growth and regulatory complexity, with hospitals managing high-stakes reputational moments, with national health-focused associations trying to reach the Americans who need them most, and with physician groups working to clarify their value in an increasingly complex care landscape. Through all of it, one thing has remained constant: the organizations that communicate clearly, credibly, and consistently earn the trust that drives everything else.

That conviction is a big part of why I’m so energized to join the Inspire Agency team.

What “Drew” Me to Inspire Agency

When I first looked at what Inspire had built, a few things stood out immediately. The quality of the work jumps out at you. Their commitment to life sciences in South Carolina is real and well-earned. And the team’s instinct for brand storytelling, which helps complex organizations find their voice and reach the audiences that matter most, is exactly the kind of discipline I’ve built my career around.

But what I found most compelling (and, honestly, what surprised me once I got here) is that Inspire is something of a well-kept secret. Most people know the life sciences story. What they don’t know is that their broader healthcare experience is just as deep. Hospitals. Hospital networks. Physician groups. National health-focused associations. It’s all here. It just hasn’t been part of the story that’s gotten out. Consider this my attempt to change that.

A Broader View of Healthcare Communications

Life sciences is a critical sector, and Inspire’s depth is genuine. But healthcare doesn’t begin and end in the lab or the manufacturing facility. It also lives in hospital corridors, in physician offices, in the boardrooms of health systems making decisions that affect thousands of patients, and in the national organizations working to advance awareness, prevention, and policy.

Over the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work across nearly every corner of that ecosystem. At my previous communications agencies, I led integrated campaigns for pharmaceutical companies,  including work that helped elevate senior leaders to national recognition in PharmaVoice, and supported messaging strategy for organizations like the National Stroke Association, where the work was ultimately about helping people recognize the signs of a stroke and get help before it’s too late. That’s healthcare communications when it feels most meaningful.

I’ve also spent significant time working with hospitals, hospital networks, and large physician group practices, as well as organizations that face a distinctive communications challenge. They are, at once, deeply trusted by their communities and perpetually under scrutiny. They operate in a regulated environment, often under the watchful eye of payers, policy makers, and the media, and they are navigating extraordinary transformation: workforce challenges, system consolidation, shifting patient expectations, and the need to communicate value in ways that resonate with everyone from patients and families to referring physicians and board members.

This is terrain I know well. And it’s terrain where the right communications partner can make a real difference.

What We Can Do Together

When I think about what Inspire is already doing for healthcare organizations, and what we’re positioned to do as that story becomes better known, I get genuinely excited. The creative capabilities are here. The strategic instincts are here. The track record across a regulated, complex industry is here. What I’m adding is another layer to their deep network of healthcare relationships, two decades of executive counsel and media strategy in high-stakes environments, and a practitioner’s understanding of what hospital systems, physician groups, and health-focused associations need from a marketing and communications partner.

I’m here to turn up the volume on a proven healthcare marketing engine that’s already working. My experience sitting across from a CMO trying to explain a merger to a skeptical community, developing the communications strategy that positions a specialty practice for sustainable growth, helping a national association earn coverage in outlets that actually reach the people they’re trying to serve, and building the messaging infrastructure that lets a distributed health system speak with one voice is fuel for an Inspire fire that’s already lit.

An Invitation

If you’re a hospital, a health system, a specialty physician group, a diagnostic company, a medical device manufacturer, or a national health-focused association, and you’re thinking about how to communicate more clearly, build a stronger reputation, or engage the audiences that matter most, I’d welcome a conversation.

We’re ready for you.
